Preciq was born from years of enterprise system implementation work, and the consistent frustration that configuration was the most expensive, most error-prone and least tooled part of every engagement. Preciq is the platform we built to fix that.
I trained as a Mechanical Engineer. In that world, projects are costed to the penny, every hour, every material, every risk. Waste is visible and unacceptable.
When I moved into enterprise IT, ERP, WMS, and eventually supply chain planning, I found a very different culture. Projects ran over. Configuration engagements that should have taken weeks stretched to months. Consulting fees that should have been reasonable ended up rivalling, or exceeding, the cost of the software itself. The consultants were often excellent. The process was not.
I tried the obvious fix: templated deployments. If you codify the ninety percent that's common across every engagement, you should be able to deliver in a fraction of the time. That logic is sound, until you meet the client. It's the ten percent that makes each client different from their competitor that matters. That's exactly why they hired a consultant. Templates can't capture it. Clients won't accept a cookie-cutter outcome.
There was one more thing I kept coming back to: time. Clients aren't waiting passively while an implementation runs. They're paying for their system from the day they signed the contract, subscriptions accumulating, licences running, benefits not flowing. Every week the go-live slips is a week of value lost.
Preciq is the tool I always needed on client sites: not a template, and not a form to fill in. Requirements go in as they're given. Preciq matches each one to the real configuration of the target system, holds anything it isn't sure about for a human, and where the system allows, generates the package that applies it.

The insight that became Preciq
Templates fail on the ten percent that matters
The detail that makes each client different from their competitor is why they hired a consultant. You can't template that, but you can capture it properly and match it.
Clients pay from Day 1 of the contract
Every week of delay is a week of cost without the benefit. Getting live faster isn't just cheaper, it's business value recovered.
Matching beats templating
A confidence score and a reason on every match means the ten percent that matters gets a human decision, not a guess and not a re-key.
Enterprise system implementations live or die on configuration quality. Yet the tools consultants use to capture, agree and document configuration decisions haven't changed in decades: spreadsheets, email chains, handwritten notes and hope.
The result is predictable: configuration drift, disputed sign-offs, incomplete documentation and re-work that costs everyone time and money. The problem isn't the consultants, it's the absence of a proper process.
Preciq is that process: capture the requirement, match it to the real system, govern the decision, generate what applies it.
What changes with Preciq
Our deepest roots are in supply chain planning configuration. The first plug-in built out to a real applied package is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, in parallel with a supply chain planning partnership. We're early in delivering Preciq as a product, and we'd rather be straightforward about that than oversell it.
Our deepest roots are in supply chain planning: forecasting, inventory and sourcing decisions we've lived and breathed for years. The same disciplined approach applies to ERP, CRM and any other business system a consultancy configures.
The same flow, whatever the target system: capture, match, govern, generate. Each system is a plug-in, not a rebuild.
Preciq runs alongside the consultant, not around them. Every match, every design and every generated package still passes through the person the client hired to make the judgement calls.
If you're a consultancy working with enterprise systems and want a governed, repeatable way to run configuration, or if you have a system you'd like to see supported, we'd love to hear from you.
